Smiling at the memories

I was flicking through some photos this week from my little European holiday and couldn't help smiling at the memories.
Don't you just love memories?
They really can make you smile.

Thinking about my day in Paris with a childhood friend brought a smile to my face. We had the time of our lives and just couldn't believe Paris could be so hot! We waited in line for hours to get on the lift to go up the Eiffel tower as enormous fans cooled us off with spurts of air and water as we patiently stood in line. Yes, the wait was worth the view - truly spectacular.

Monet's Garden, Giverny

I have very fond memories of our day visiting Monet's garden in Giverny. We caught a train from the famous Lazare train station (from one of  his paintings) and travelled through the picturesque french countryside. We then hired bikes and rode out to his home and gardens. Truly breathtaking, intoxicating and deliciously divine.

France, Palace at Versailles.                                                          St Paul's Cathedral.

Love the 'hop on hop off' big bus tour.

A horse and carriage ride in the rain = LOVE.

Field of poppies, Spain

Thanks to an aspiring mum for the moment to celebrate a smile this week.
