Laughter ....the spice of Life

A few Mondays back I did a post on 'Laughter is the spice of life" from the book with the same name and today am continuing this thought with a look at marriage.

So...for a few laughs
"Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, half shut afterwards. - Benjamin Franklin

"An Archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have; the older she gets, the more interested he is in her. - Agatha Christie

This was an a bit of a laugh....

A conversation
Adam was walking around in the garden of Eden feeling a little morose and a bit lonely, so God asked Adam, "What is wrong with you?"

- God "Adam, why the face?"
- Adam "I'm a bit over the animals and need someone to talk to."
- God "hhmmm.....I have an idea....how about a woman?"
- Adam "Okay, tell me about her."
- God "Well this woman has superb cooking skills, she enjoys cleaning, taking care of things and she is agreeable and never moody. She won't nag and even admits her wrongs after a disagreement. She NEVER has a headache and will freely give you love and compassion without question."
- Adam "How much would this cost me?"
- God "An arm and a leg."
- Adam ' hmmm...what can I get just for a rib?"

(A conversation paraphrased in my own words)

Hope you had a laugh :)

Just for laughs

Feel like a few laughs?....then read on

The following are headlines collected from local, national, and international newspapers. In each case there is an alternate, more humourous interpretation of the headline.

* 'Kids make nutritious snacks.'
* 'Include your children when baking cookies.'
* 'Milk drinkers are turning to powder.'
* 'Queen Mary having bottom scraped.'
* 'Hospitals are sued by seven foot doctors.'
* 'Red tape holds up new bridge.'

and a few excuse letters (letters from parents in their child's absence from school)

* "My son is under a doctors care and should not do P.E today, please execute him."
* "Please excuse Lisa for being absent. She was sick, and I had her shot."
* "Please excuse Roland from P.E for a few days. Yesterday he fell out of a tree and misplaced his hip."

and this one from a church bulletin

* "This afternoon there will be a meeting in the south and north ends of the church. Children will be baptised at both ends."

Hope that helped to brighten your day......
